Did you know 2016 is the Wales Year of Adventure?
If you have already started researching your 2016 holiday in North Wales you may have come across this concept already, perhaps through some of the beautiful campaigns launched by Visit Wales:
The Wales Year of Adventure is the brain child of the Welsh Government and Welsh Tourist Board. It is a fabulous way to highlight and celebrate the incredible attractions in North Wales and help put Wales on the world map as the centre of adventure tourism.
There are many wonderful holiday destinations for adventure in the world but few rival North Wales in terms of the number of adventure attractions so near to each other and such a naturally varied, rugged terrain. It is ideally adapted for a wide range of outdoor sport from sailing and scuba diving to hiking through mountain ranges, rock climbing, kayaking and biking.
The Wales Year of Adventure is just the beginning and will be followed by the Year of the Sea and the Year of Legends.
This is a great time to visit North Wales and see all it has to offer. Llandudno is the perfect base to launch your exploration.
Llandudno is no stranger to adventure with some of the best attractions in the region. We have the dry ski slope, Victorian Tram, Great Orme and Bronze Age Copper Mines. All of these are a must see for budding adventurers but the natural formation of our seaside location is also perfect for sports. Rock climbers, sailors, jet skiers and more flock to Llandudno Bay for their annual adventure.
Llandudno is also conveniently situated with easy access to the A55 and our central location on the coast means you find Anglesey not far to the West and Snowdonia just to our south. Adventure awaits just around the corner, whichever way you turn.
The Wildings Hotel in Llandudno is looking forward to welcoming all adventurers in the Wales Year of Adventure and you will find our hotel offers incredible views from our seafront location. Book now for your 2016 adventure.
