Llandudno Arts Weekend 2015

Llandudno Arts Weekend 2015

If you are staying at the Wildings Seafront Hotel in Llandudno over during the 18th- 20th September you are in luck because the fantastic Llandudno Arts Weekend is returning for 2015. Llandudno Arts Weekend is an annual micro festival, also locally known as LLAWN. It is a celebration of Llandudno’s rich history through the medium of art. All around the town mini exhibitions, displays and performances will pop up for the festival weekend. In previous years we have been fascinated by the quirky and peculiar colourful, bespoke Victorian Bathing Machines. These odd contraptions hosted many of the artist exhibitions in the festival and we cannot wait to see what the organisers have cooked up this year. This is a perfect event for art lovers but also anyone visiting Llandudno. The festival is hugely diverse with a range of artist mediums explored including drama, dance, song, visual art, creative modern art, more traditional pieces and lots of history too. It is also a great way to kick off the autumn season in Llandudno. LLAWN has grown from strength to strength over the last couple of years so we expect LLAWN03 to be bigger and better than ever! The programme for the Arts Weekend has nearly fully taken shape and we expect to see some of the displays emerging soon so keep your eyes peeled. The Wildings Seafront Hotel occupies a prime position on the Llandudno Promenade, so you are always only a very short walk from the heart of great events in the town like this. Many of the displays will be featured on the promenade and beach right on...
Cruise Trips From Llandudno This Summer

Cruise Trips From Llandudno This Summer

There are many reasons to visit Llandudno this September, one of them is the fantastic cruise trips that will be available from Llandudno Pier this autumn. The M V Balmoral Pleasure Boat returned to Llandudno this summer after a ten year absence. Llandudno Pier was recently refurbished to enable cruises to return to Llandudno and providing yet another fantastic attraction to our seaside town. Everyone was thrilled to see the return of this iconic boat but if you missed out do not worry as September brings many more opportunities to enjoy a leisurely cruise. We highly recommend a trip on the Balmoral. The cruises offer incredible views of the magnificent Snowdonia range from a different perspective. Seeing them from the sea is quite something and tickets are now on sale for this September. There is another addition to the cruising roster this September with the return of the Waverley; the world’s last sea-going paddle steamer. This means you have not one but two cruise boats to choose from this autumn while staying with the Wildings Seafront Hotel in Llandudno. Both these beautiful vessels provide an opportunity to recapture the romantic days of Llandudno’s past.
