Llandudno is well known for its summer attractions but our seaside town also attracts large crowds throughout the winter months thanks to its great assortment of Christmas themed attractions. Coming up in Llandudno this November and December are two of its best annual events the Christmas Fayre and Christmas Parade. We highly recommend that our guests take the time to visit the Christmas Fayre if you have not been before as it is a wonderful atmosphere and the perfect place to do your Christmas shopping as well as fill you with festive feeling ready for Christmas. Llandudno’s Christmas Fayre is one of the largest Christmas markets in Wales and features over 100 stalls. It has been growing year on year for the past decade. Now in its 11th year it is attracting roughly 30,000 tourists over the fayre weekend at least. At the fayre you will find beautiful, sparkling Christmas displays and lots of wonderful things to buy. You will easily complete your Christmas shopping in time if you visit the fayre with all the fantastic homemade gifts and crafts, including hair accessories, clothes, decorations and much more. Llandudno Event: Goldwing Light Parade

If you are staying at the Wildings Llandudno Hotel for the last weekend of August you will be able to enjoy one of Llandudno’s best annual spectator events: The Goldwing Light Parade. The Wildings Hotel is one of the best Victorian seafront Llandudno Hotels, offering beautiful vintage style bedrooms and a friendly atmosphere. The Goldwing Light Parade brings Honda Goldwing Motorcycle fans from all around the country to Llandudno where, for one day only, they will be displaying their magnificent vehicles along the promenade on Saturday the 30th August. You can check out the impressive collection of over 150 motorcycles on the promenade from 10am until 4pm but the reason this event is so popular with tourists is the evening Light Parade. This event is so much more than the motorcycles because at 8pm on August 30th there will be a parade of the Goldwings through to the town adorned with an incredible collection of LED lights. All those taking part are competing to see who can create the best light display on their Goldwings in a variety of categories. Prizes will be awarded on the Promenade by the Mayor after the parade. The Tour of Britain Comes to Llandudno

One of the most exciting upcoming events for Llandudno is the fact that the Tour of Britain will be zipping right through our town this September for the second stage of the UK’s biggest professional cycle race. The Tour of Britain is not only our most high profile professional cycling event but it is also the country’s largest free-to-spectate event. Cycling is a popular sport across the UK and probably more popular than most of us think because the Tour of Britain attracting millions of roadside spectators every year! The route goes across the country and covers eight stages before the finish line is reached in London. The first stage starts in Liverpool City Centre on the 7th of September. The competitors will head to Knowsley and then they will traverse 201km to our very own Victorian seaside town of Llandudno for the second stage on Monday the 8th September. The Victorian Extravaganza is Coming!

There is now only a few weeks left to wait until Llandudno’s biggest festival returns for 2014! The Victorian Extravaganza is one of the biggest Victorian themed events in the UK and its home is right here in Llandudno. The festival was founded in 1986 and has grown year on year to become a massive three day celebration attracting thousands of people from all over the UK and beyond. The Victorian Extravaganza celebrates Llandudno’s Victorian origins. This was the era the small North Wales community was transformed into one of the top seaside holiday resorts. The Victorian Extravaganza always takes place on the first bank holiday weekend in May so this year Victorian celebration will hit the streets on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of May. If you have never been to the Extravaganza before you are definitely missing out. As well as diehard fans of the festival new comers increase every year. It is an exciting weekend if you are looking for a unique event, some spring entertainment, a weekend break or you are a fan of Victorian themed activities.
