The Victorian Extravaganza is Coming!

There is now only a few weeks left to wait until Llandudno’s biggest festival returns for 2014! The Victorian Extravaganza is one of the biggest Victorian themed events in the UK and its home is right here in Llandudno. The festival was founded in 1986 and has grown year on year to become a massive three day celebration attracting thousands of people from all over the UK and beyond. The Victorian Extravaganza celebrates Llandudno’s Victorian origins. This was the era the small North Wales community was transformed into one of the top seaside holiday resorts. The Victorian Extravaganza always takes place on the first bank holiday weekend in May so this year Victorian celebration will hit the streets on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of May. If you have never been to the Extravaganza before you are definitely missing out. As well as diehard fans of the festival new comers increase every year. It is an exciting weekend if you are looking for a unique event, some spring entertainment, a weekend break or you are a fan of Victorian themed activities. The festival includes many people dressing up in traditional Victorian clothing, fairground rides, Victorian transport equipment, trains and engines, Victorian themed street exhibits, bands and much more. If you love Victorian technology you should head to one of the exhibitions which this year will include agricultural engines, steam wagons and incredible road locomotives.
